# My First Travel Blog

Hello and welcome to my very first travel blog post!
I can’t describe how excited I am to finally start something I’ve dreamed about for so long. This blog is more than just a place to share photos or tips—it’s a piece of my heart, dedicated to the one thing that makes me feel truly alive: travel.

For years, I’ve carried a suitcase full of dreams—dreams of wandering through bustling markets, tasting street food under neon lights, and watching sunsets from faraway rooftops. Now, after visiting 7 countries and living in 2 different ones, I’m ready to share my stories, lessons, and the magic I find along the way.Travel isn’t always perfect. It’s messy, unpredictable, and sometimes downright challenging—but it’s those moments that make the journey unforgettable. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or just thinking about your first trip, I hope my blog offers you inspiration, helpful tips, and a little escape into the world’s beautiful chaos.

# Budget-Friendly & Adventure-Driven

One of the things I want to be very real about in this blog is how I travel. I’m not a luxury traveler, and I don’t have a bottomless budget. Most of my trips are planned with a daily budget of $100 or less. This means I’m always on the lookout for the best deals—choosing local food stalls over fancy restaurants, and staying in motels or resthouses instead of expensive hotels. But here’s the thing: traveling on a budget doesn’t mean missing out. It means being intentional. It means skipping tourist traps and finding the heart of a place through its people, culture, and everyday life. Some of my most unforgettable memories came from wandering streets with no map, saying yes to spontaneous invitations, or sitting down at a tiny local eatery to enjoy the best meal of my life for just a few dollars.I prefer to plan my own trips from scratch—no package tours or rigid itineraries. Traveling is about freedom for me, and sometimes those pre-planned packages leave little room to explore at your own pace. They often come with tight schedules, moving quickly from one place to another, which can feel more like a race than a journey.

I don’t like running from one daily chore to the next, especially during my mini vacations. That’s why I book everything myself—from flights to local stays—and build flexible plans that allow for adventure, discovery, and a little bit of chaos. Real travel, I believe, happens when you go off the beaten path, talk to locals, eat where they eat, and explore without being tied to a strict schedule. For me, traveling isn’t just about sightseeing. It’s about:

  • Trying street food in places I can’t pronounce
  • Watching sunsets in unfamiliar cities
  • Getting lost—and loving every minute of it
  • Saying yes to things I’ve never done before

Looking back, my very first overseas trip was to Singapore when I was 21 years old. It was a solo adventure at first, and I still remember the mix of excitement and nerves. The very next day, my best friend—who I consider like a sister—joined me, and together we explored this vibrant city-state. That trip was truly special and taught me so much about independence, curiosity, and the joy of discovering new cultures. I can’t wait to share more about that journey and the lessons I learned along the way in future blog posts.

#🇪🇬 My Latest Trip: Egypt

My most recent adventure took me to the incredible country of Egypt—a place that truly felt like stepping into a living museum. From standing in awe before the Great Pyramids of Giza to cruising along the majestic Nile River and exploring the beautiful beaches of Alexandria, every moment felt surreal and unforgettable. The rich history, the vibrant culture, the warmth of the people, and the delicious food made this trip one of the most enriching experiences of my life. One place I missed this time around was Luxor, but it’s definitely at the top of my list for my next visit to Egypt—I can’t wait to explore its ancient temples and tombs. As with any journey, there were surprises, small mishaps, and moments of pure magic that I’ll never forget. I’ll be sharing detailed posts about Egypt soon—everything from how I planned the trip, the best sights to see, where to stay, and, of course, what local dishes you absolutely must try.
